Near Future (< 1.0)

  • Port the GUI to Blender UI kit – removes GTK dependency
  • Set Pantograph to run as a separate Python process from Blender
  • Improve memory management
  • Re-write 2d poly clipping from scratch to remove Polygon dependency
  • Group linetypes better in SVG output – named layers?

    Release 1.0

    • All-Python code, optimized where possible
    • See above

    Far Future

    • Port geometry kernel to C, GUI remains in Python
    • Write front ends for Maya, ?
    • Allow the use of vector pattern fills/textures – possibly using UV coordinates?
